Exodus 33 tells the story of when Moses did not settle for good but pressed in for the greatness of Adonai. Moses wanted more than God’s presence; he asked to see God’s glory. What would happen if we were to do the same today?
Shortly after Moses pitched the Tent of Meeting where God spoke with him face to face, the prophet said to HaShem, “If Your presence does not go with me, don’t let us go up from here! For how would it be known that I or your people have found favor in Your sight?” Isn’t it because You go with us that distinguishes us from all the people on the face of the earth?” (Exodus 33: 15-16 TLV).
