This verse is structured in a strange way. We are very used to “if/then” statements. The Bible is full of them. “If ‘this,’ then ‘that.'” My favorite is the classic verse … 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. KJV So … now let’s rephrase the verse into the “if/then” structure. Read on here
