Vayikra/Leviticus 16:2 ‘And he shall not come into the Sanctuary at any time … and he will not die …’
Aharon the High Priest may not enter the Sanctuary – the Most Holy Place – at any old time; otherwise he will die. But he is the High Priest – how is he to carry out his priestly duties if he cannot enter the presence and come before HaShem?
