It has been 17 months since we have been living in this war and the intensity has never let up for one minute. The heart of this nation has been on an emotional roller coaster since the day of the horrific invasion.
Our hearts explode with joy unspeakable when hostages are released and the tears flow when we hear the accounts of their deep suffering. Our hearts break as we grieve profoundly with the families who receive their loved ones back only to bury them or the ones who finally come home and find out their wife and children were killed on October 7th.
We get excited with each hint of victory and we feel the sadness of disappointment when no progress is made. We feel anger at the impossible situation and the forces arrayed against us and we feel the trauma to the families who have to live and not know if their loved one is dead or alive in the hell of the tunnels.
The pendulum of emotions is no less with the soldiers. We mourn for each one killed and rejoice when they come home safely.
We see all their faces on the News and we love them.
