The summer season is over but the war season continues as we fast approach the one year anniversary of the Hamas invasion and massacre on October 7th. Kids going back to school on September 1st is usually a special day for the nation but this year it was marred by the tragic cold blooded murder of 6 hostages by Hamas. Already filled with a year of grief, trauma and emotional overload, people responded with an outpouring of anger, sadness, and more heartbreak as they took to the streets in huge numbers, closing the highway and breaking through police barriers to demonstrate and cry out for an immediate ceasefire agreement and a hostage release. A general strike was also called which closed many businesses including the airport for several hours and kids had only a half day of school, if at all.
