We left off yesterday with Yeshua speaking words into eternity for our benefit as He addressed the Samaritan woman at the well. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Worship is a word that comes to us from an Old English phrase, "Worth-ship." Only He is worthy of our love, devotion and praise.

Our worship is described in Hebrew as being filled with "Kavenah." It means "intentionality." The same Shoresh is used in the Hebrew word Mit'kaven which is reflexive (meaning something you do to yourself). Ani Mit'kaven means "I really mean it." When we pray, we're not just reciting prayers (as some do) but pouring our hearts out as we lift up the Lord. He is exalted!

As we have learned previously in this study, we must recognize we have a river of living water within us. A river that will never run dry. When we truly believe that, we can empty ourselves in spirit and know that God will continue to fill us up again.

The other part of Spirit and Truth is praying in Truth. That means praying in a way that is consistent with God's word. Yeshua prayed it back to God after the Last Supper: John 17:17 Make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth.

Rabbi Trail: Oh how we chase after the mystical fountain of youth. Ponce de Leon made it famous, but today it is a multi-trillion dollar industry. It seems like everyone is constantly focused on returning to their youth - that youthful energy, that youthful appearance. There are few who realize that youth is overrated. It is life itself that counts. Yeshua proclaimed, "I am the ... life ..." in John 14:6. He also said ... John 10:10b I have come that they might have life, and have it abundantly!

And that means that there is sufficiency for every need in life, whether it's your personal need to be refreshed and encouraged, or someone else's need to be refreshed by what God has given to you. Romans 8:11 And if the Ruach of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Ruach who dwells in you. End RT.

Here's the point. Do we want and need revival? Yes! Do we pray and ask God for this? Yes! Yet, we must recognize that we have within us rivers of water and life from heaven that can change us and change those around us. Consider this, the greatest poverty or defeat for any believer in Yeshua is to not know the greatness of the riches of life that has been deposited in each of us by God Himself.

We are all seeking a blessing from our heavenly Father. For some it is deliverance. Others may call it a breakthrough or refreshing. For intercessors it is the power and anointing to bless others. We all, in every situation must come to know this ... the answer to our prayers is not "out there" somewhere, but already within you, waiting to be released. Now walk in the reality of this truth. The victory belongs to the Lord.
