Do we believe the Bible?

Question of the day: Do we really believe the Bible?

Answer: You say, Of course we believe the Bible, Rabbi! What a silly question.

Rabbi responds: Then you believe this? Amos 3:1-3a "So it will be afterward, I will pour out My Ruach on all flesh: your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Also on the male and the female servants will I pour out My spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth ..."

To which some will respond, "Not now! We do not have 'wonders' now. That was then, and this is now. Miracles ended when the last of the (capital "A") Apostles died."

Rabbi's comment: If that's what you believe, then you are a cessationist, and I am not. Need proof that I'm right to believe in miracles? Everyone I know has a testimony of a miracle in his/her life. How is that possible if God no longer moves in the last days?

Everyone who walks into Shomair Yisrael Messianic Synagogue at 3811 Boyd's Bridge Pike is walking into a miracle. I challenge you, find answer this question ... "How did a small congregation with an annual budget of less than 25,000 buy a building worth ,300,000?" That's not explained by one miracle. That's explained by a series of miracles.

The powerful intervention of God should be our expectation. We should be more grateful than amazed.

Jeremiah 32:27 "Behold, I am Adonai, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?"

Luke 18:27 "But Yeshua said, What is impossible with men is possible with God."

Job 5:8-9 "But as for me, I would seek God; I would lay my cause before God. Who does great things beyond comprehension, wonders without number."
