More than just details

Question of the day: Why so many details about how to make the Tabernacle and all its furniture and appointments?

Answer: God tells Moses in Exodus 25:40 "See that you make them according to their pattern being shown to you on the mountain." What's the point? Here is the answer ... you are the Temple!!! You are building a life. The pattern of righteousness must be followed.

Any of you ladies ever make a dress? You probably had the most success at following a pattern. Without a pattern, we just don't know what we're going to get as an end product.

When Yeshua told the disciples, "Follow me," He was telling them to follow His pattern of righteousness. Today, 2,000 years later, we have the same instruction. "Build your life according to the pattern you have been shown."
