Ever more the world is groaning for Messiah’s return. The world is a crazy place without God’s righteousness and kingdom order. And this is the season, as we enter the High Holidays, when we are more attuned to that reality. The Day of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement foreshadow God’s ultimate judgment and restoration of order. The signs of the times of His soon return seem to be increasing, though we don’t know the day or hour. Still, we hope. We contend. We carry on. May we be faithful in the midst of tragedy and a source of comfort to those who mourn.
