Dallas and beyond

Following ICAL I was able to spend significant time with Steward and Millie Lieberman who lead the new plant Or Chaim connected to Tikkun in Denver CO. I was able to teach the whole congregation in the morning and in the afternoon. In the afternoon we entertained all kinds of questions, some of them difficult. I think this was important in given a solid foundation in biblical teaching.

The next stop was Dallas were Ben and I along with several Tikkun congregational leaders attended The Messianic Jewish Roundtable sponsored by Jewish Voice under Jonathan Bernis. A few hundred attended. Again, I was privileged to bring a major address on building a leadership team with covenant love and trust. The idea of vision, program, implementation and enforcement was presented as a key to that trust as well. I noted that character and competence was crucial for that trust.

The keynote speaker at that event was Stephen Covey who wrote the well known book, The Speed of Trust, a best level business book with great implications for congregational leadership as well. The message I gave was very much in line with Covey’s teaching, but was learned from others before I read his excellent book which I have been giving out and recommending for the last few years.

Tomorrow I share some exciting news from Tikkun America ...
